New Zealand band The Beths say they have been practising in front of no-one for their upcoming slot at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The band will join the likes of Doja Cat, Lana Del Ray and Grimes at this year's festival, which runs over two consecutive weekends from April 12.
Coachella festival takes place in California and attracts tens of thousands of attendees, but millions more tune into livestreams of the bands.
Vocalist Liz Stokes told AM's Melissa Chan-Green that the festival gig is "one of the big ones" and just being at the event is "pretty exciting".
Guitarist Jonathan Pearce said they had been sitting on the news for a while before it was officially announced.
"They gave us an offer - it was pretty awesome; word came through the grapevine that Coachella might come knocking," he said.
"These things are always an opportunity to tighten up a little bit, and work on it.
"Every artist at the festival no matter how large will have experienced the same phenomenon, where they practice their set in an enclosed room for nobody in a really isolated scenario."
