Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger has been arrested in Australia by Victoria Police after going on the run earlier this week.
The 30-year-old actor had failed to turn up in court in Melbourne on Tuesday amid charges of unlawful assault and causing injury to a woman at a bar.
He had been granted bail on Monday and taken to a hospital in Melbourne for a court-ordered assessment on his mental health.
However, at a hearing on Tuesday, his lawyer revealed Pledger had absconded from the hospital.
Following a three-day police hunt and appeal for his arrest, Victoria Police said they had arrested Pledger on Thursday, but did not reveal any further details.
Melbourne Magistrates Court released a video of the alleged assault showing a woman being attacked in a bar on March 25. The clip shows her being grabbed from behind, pulled to the ground and stomped on.
The woman suffered injuries including a haematoma on her head, as well as cuts to her cheek and bruises.
