New Zealand-raised influencer and reality TV star Harry Jowsey says he has skin cancer.
In a shock video uploaded to TikTok late on Saturday, Jowsey said he had been to a dermatologist for a check-up and there was "no easy way to say this" but he had been diagnosed with the disease.
The post titled "Please wear sunscreen" has been viewed over 2.4 million times and has racked up hundreds of comments.
Jowsey said he would undergo surgery on Tuesday this week, but did not reveal more.
He said it had been on his shoulder for a year or two, but he had no idea that it was there and had carried on as normal.
"I just wanted to make this post to let you know that summer is around the corner," the 26-year-old, who is based in the US, said.
"Please wear sunscreen. Please go get your skin checked. If you're a freckly little frog like me, go get a mole map and get your body checked because you never know."
"Be a little bit more responsible - because that's what I've got to do. I'm gonna be all good."
Jowsey wouldn't be drawn by comments asking him to confirm what kind of skin cancer he had been diagnosed with.
While Jowsey was originally born in Australia, he grew up in New Zealand and made a name for himself when he appeared on Netflix reality show Too Hot To Handle in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown.
He was portrayed as the cocky villain of the show who was there to stir things up.
