The name and logo has been released for Stuff's 6pm news bulletin, which will replace Newshub when it finishes in July.
In a statement, Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ (WBD) confirmed the new product will be called ThreeNews.
Newshub is being shut down by WBD as part of a restructure of the business that means up to 300 jobs are being axed.
The final ever Newshub bulletin will be broadcast at 6pm on Friday, July 5.
"Stuff isn't just reproducing what we've always had," said WBD Vice President, Head of Networks ANZ, Juliet Peterson.
"Before we had Newshub we had 3 News, we felt that the name 'ThreeNews' was both a nod to our storied history, but also different enough to show that this isn't a continuation of our older news offering but an evolution.
"It's going to be an exciting new bulletin while still retaining Three's unique touch and approach - having Sam Hayes remain as the face and lead of ThreeNews, with reporting from so many fantastic former Newshub journalists alongside Stuff's large multimedia team, this new bulletin is going to be superb, I can feel it.
"That said, this name is also an acknowledgement of all the incredible people who have worked for Three from when it was 3 National News, to 3 News, then Newshub, and now ThreeNews."
On April 15, it was confirmed WBD had filed a trademark claim for the names "Three News" and "ThreeNews" in the wake Newshub's closure.
Stuff had lodged the trademark with the New Zealand Intellectual Properties Office on Monday, April 15, just one day before it was revealed the company would take over production of the bulletin. In May, Stuff announced it had hired current Newshub Live at 6pm presenter Samantha Hayes to be the main presenter for its new bulletin.
The new 6pm bulletin will be broadcast seven days a week, starting on July 6.
