Amanda Gillies and Ryan Bridge have shared the most brutal feedback they've ever received.
Reflecting on their careers at Newshub and in general on Friday morning's last ever AM show, both revealed their teeth had come under extreme scrutiny by viewers and management.
"Funnily enough because I had terrible teeth, the man who hired me - and I won't name names - said 'I'm sorry but we're going to have to send you to radio first'.
"So I've had some work done, people," Bridge said.
Gillies was appalled, saying Bridge was "arguably the hottest man on television."
However, she then revealed she had received some awful feedback from a viewer.
"A man wrote in when I was on AM once to say he couldn't stand my teeth, they were like little piano keys. And now I can't ever get that picture out of my mind," she said to shocked faces on the show.
"He said those little piano keys that you have when you smile and I was like 'Wow'."
"People are harsh eh," Bridge said.
